hi there:

I ahve a desktop and laptop both are XP sp2. I tried to connect them
wirelessly through a TP-Link USB adapter (TL-WN620G) connected to my desktop.
For my laptop it came with an adapter inside. So they can see each other. The
signal is excellent. Internet sharing is enabled. In (my netwok places) in the
desktop there are two icons. One for the desktop and the other is for the
laptop!

I made "ping" and they replied for each other smoothly..

Still cannot see the files of each through each other and cannot share the
browsing of internet.. What do you think is the problem??

anyone has an idea would be greatly appreciated..

Are you connecting through a router (recommended)? Don't use ICS, it's a
real pain.

thanx Alan White for reply:

No actually I don't use anything other than this TP-Link USB adapter
(TL-WN620G).

Note; I can see my desktop files from my laptop but not from laptop to
desktop!?

Should I use a router cuz ive been told that there is no need for router as
long as you wanna connect two computers via "ad hoc".

please accept my appreciation

Hi I have a similar problem that my desktop can see and access my laptop
files via a wireless router but my laptop cannot access the desktop files,
even though they are setup to be shared!!!
so if you find anything out that sorts your prob out please let me know!!
