I have 2 domains on my network
1. - Old Server2000 (acctserver) - Domain Controller
2. - New Server2003 (Famserver) - Domain Controller
The 2003 server will be used strictly to host a large
database (Oracle). Local employees will run an
application on their workstations that directly access
this database.
The Server 2000 will be used for external users (using
terminal services to) access the database.
Each Server has 2 Nics - One for the internal network
(192.168.123.1 and 192.168.123.10)
The other nics are connected to an external IPs.
I can log on to the Server 2003 and access the Server
2000 shares - but when I try to get to the share on the
2003 from the 2000 server - I get a
\\server2 is not accessable
Logon Failure: the target acount name is incorrect
Both Administrator account have the same password
I have created a trust between the two domains
If I go to the 2003 server and Validate -
On both the incoming and outgoing I get Validation was
okay
On the 2000 Server If I go into the Trusts I chose Verify
I Get
Information from the Primary Domain Controller for the
domain TFMFAM.local cannot be obtained because:The RPC
Server is unavailable.
Make sure the PDC is operating properly and try again
Any Ideas
