Problem when log on win98 and spanning tree

I Have a problem in a network when only the win98 tries to
logon at the server DHCP, sometimes the mask don't come
and is not possible to logon.Someone tell me to disable
the spanning tree on the switches but i can't do it.Please
help me¡¡¡ thanks
