I too am having problems with internet connection sharing.
Configuration is a Win98SE machine connected to the internet via a dialup
modem; internet connection sharing setup (machine 1).
A non windows machine (machine 2) that can access the internet via the
connection on machine 1. accessing a web site if machine 1 is not connected
to the ISP triggers a dialout.
A Win98SE machine (machine 3) that cannot access the internet via machine 1.
The error is "Internet Explorer could not open the search page", no dialout
is triggered if machine 1 is not on line.
I have configured machine 3 to connect via a LAN (I think), but have
obviously got something wrong, I have tried the help but that just confuses
me more.
Can anyone suggest what I have done wrong (or not done!) or give a step by
step setup walkthrough.
File and printer sharing works between all 3 computers in all directions.
