Problem in installing USB fast Ethernet adapter

Got problems in Windows98 "Add New Hardware Wizard"
screen (after I plugged in HawkinG USB-to-Ethernet
adapter). The Wizard keeps asking me to insert Window98
2nd Edition CD-ROM and looks for files like dhcpcsvc.dll,
icmp.dll files. But Windows98 CD-ROM does NOT have these
kind of files so I'm now stuck.

Do I need to download a set of files from Microsoft?
I'd really appreciate any help in saving me form the
current silly situation.

See if you have the Windows setup files (search for a folder containing
several dozen files that begin with WIN98 and end with the letters CAB) on
your hard drive, if you do you can tell the driver installer to look there
for the files it needs.

I think you are running Win98 1st Edition you will have to
hand ball that file into the system dir
