Windows 98 does not have a native IP printer driver. If your printer or
network device is from HP, the HP web site has a download that will allow
this:

If not, check your printer/network device manufacturer's site or search
google.com or download.com for one.

a way to install this printer using just its IP? It works fine with other
OS(win2000 and XP). I even tried to share this printer on one of the station
where this printer is set up and still the printer cant be veiwed from
WIN98. It asks for IPC$ password where i have been trying to insert the
administrator password and it comes up with password invalid. Can anyone
help me installing this network printer into my win98 station?
