Problem to install MN 500 Router COM 21 DP110 modem

Hi Iave a broadband connection, I want to share my XP
windows computer and my XBOX my modem is an COM 21 DP110
modem, I can't make it work, ass soon I install the router
the internet connection doesn't work, the cable comapany
hasn't an static IP address, any help? Is this modem
compatible with the MN 500 router?
