Hello,
i have a problem with importing a DHCP database from NT4 to W2k3.
Background:
we have different VLANīs and i will retire an old DHCP server in VLAN 1 and
add the data on a existing W2k3 in VLAN 2 to provide IP adresses to both
VLANS.
The relay agent (ip helper) is correctly configured and working on the
router engine.
The W2k3 DHCP server provides already correctly IP address to client in itīs
own VLAN. Now i īve tried to import the data from the NT4 box and the
process was also successful, means without errormessages. It adds a new
scope with all options, leases and reservation from the old box, but after
activation it does not provide IP addresses to any clients in VLAN 1.
When i create manually a scope with the same Option (of course without the
reservations and leases) then everything works fine.
What i still find out was, when i e.g. try to delete an address lease of the
imported data, i get the errormessage:
---------------------------
DHCP
---------------------------
The following error occurred while deleting the record 192.168.3.242:
The parameter is incorrect.
---------------------------
OK Cancel
---------------------------
So, may there is something wrong with the import fomat or what ever...
Has anyone experiences with this stuff?
Any help is very appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Markus
