I'm creating a testing lab. Sometimes, my Windows Server needs to be
connected to the company's network so the server can access the internet, and
the company's DHCP servers will assign an IP address to my server. I will
turn off the DHCP service on my server when I'm connected to the company's
LAN .
When I want to test something, I will disconnect the server from the network
and create my own LAN inside of the testing lab and turn on the DHCP service
in my server. This is where I want the Alternative Configuration to work.
Note: When I use the same values for a static IP configuration on the main
tab instead of the Alternative Configuration tab, my DHCP service works in my
local testing lab LAN.
