I have in a samba share two distinct files:
tIC_B.c
tic_B.c

In a linux server that mount this share via smbmount I can
see these two files, but when I edit tIC_B.c I see the content of
tic_B.c.

Why?
Must I use some samba option to distinguish correctly these two file ?

How would you do it when the server wasn't samba but Windows 2003 instead?

Check your smb.conf man page under "NAME MANGLING". You'll see
documentation for the following options: mangle case, case sensitive,
default case, preserve case, and short preserve case. If you are going to
use samba though, you should just get in the habit of not creating files
that differ only in case.

I need use Samba after a large amount of files of this type was
created.
Then, let me understand: to solve my problem I must check 'NAME
MANGLING' option. What is the correct value for this option in way to
avoid my problem ?

Thanks in advance.
