I have an existing wireless network using a D-Link Di-614+ router. It seems
to work fine with several different wireless network interfaces. (I have 3
computers, with cards from 2 different manufacturers, neither of which is a
D-Link card).
Today, I tried adding a Belkin F5D6001, 802.11 card, which uses a PCI
interface. It seems to work if I turn off security, but as soon as I turn
on security, the RF connection to the router keeps going up and down. It
locks up with a strong signal and high quality, then drops after 20-30S or
so, then repeats the same cycle.
I have a Rev 2 card, and downloaded the latest drivers from Belkin. I
talked to their service rep. His suggestion was to replace the card. Which
I did, and got the same thing.
I think it is a problem with the belkin card. I just wondered if anyone
else has seen this, or knows if there is a fix (other than not using the
belkin card).
Post any replies to the group,
