Problem Authenticating a Mapped Drive

When trying to map a network drive over VPN I get an
authentication box that is asking for a password but will
not allow me to enter a username.

Windows 98 won't let you enter a name, only a password. The name you use to
log onto Windows 98 must be a valid user on the domain you're VPN-ing into.
