Problem with accepting password

I've got a few computers in my network. All of them have Windows XP and
one has Windows 98. These with win xp log on the server, protected with
password correctly, however I'm unable to log from computer with
windows 98. Computer states that password is wrong. Operation system on
server is Windows server 2003. Thank you for help in advance.
