I work for a company which has its own domain setup and it has a centra
file server on this file server each user has their shared folder and
department folder shared folder. How do I get it so when they log ont
the domain these two folders are automatically mapped?
I have seen it done before so i know it is possible just cannot figur
this one out on my own and i tried googling it and thats taking a lon
time which i dont have so i figured i would post here!
Also i read somewhere so you can make this folder always availabl
offline. if you could explain how to work that option too that would b
great!
thanks in advance

Login script - everyone should be using one. Basics:

net use s: \\servername\sharename
net use h: \\servername\users\%username%

.....although if you've got AD you ought to use folder redirection for My
Documents so they don't even need to get the drive mapping for that.

If these aren't laptop users, don't bother - it's not necessary. For laptop
users, even, it can be problematic. But if you insist - look for "offline
files" and "Group Policy" ina google search.
