private network unable to access public network

Hi,

I have a w2k3 server setup with 2 network interfaces, one on 192.168.0
private subnet and one on our corporate network. I also have dhcp
service running on this machine so that hosts in the private subnet can
obtain IP address from it.

The problem I am having now is that the hosts in the private subnet can
not access the public network. They can't even ping the hosts on the
corporate network. They can ping both network interfaces on the w2k3
server. I used static IP addressing for both interfaces. The interface
that is attached to the private subnet doesn't have default gateway
configured. However, I tried the IP addresss of both interfaces and none
of them made any difference.

Can anyone give me some advice?

Thanks

What are you using to share the connection to the public network with your
users on the private network?

NAT?
See:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816581/en-us

ICS?
See:

Thanks Danny,

I just configured the server to use NAT and it is working fine now.

I thought network interface can be configured to route traffic to
another network interface without using either NAT or ICS.

Thanks again
