You only need to define port numbers if you're opening holes in the
router's firewall to let other Internet users access servers running
on your network. Most people don't run any servers, and cable modem
companies generally forbid running most types of servers.
If you'll tell us what servers you're running, someone can probably
tell you what ports they use.
