Hello everyone

I am trying to figure out how I can install a set of ten logical printers
automatically, when my users log on the network. Is there a way how I can
install a printer on a server through network, and then set this printer to
each user (approx 20) when they logon the network?

Reason I want to have all logical printers installed on the server is to
have more control and to minimize some administrative effort from having to
manually install each printer for the users.

Thanks for all your help.
C White

In addition to Robert's reply - what version of Windows? In W2003 R2 it's a
lot easier than W2003 alone.

For anything earlier than W2003 R2, I've had the best luck with the simple
con2prt - see http://www.ss64.com/nt/con2prt.html for some info. You can
delete old printers, add new ones, and set the default printer through it,
too.

For R2, see
