Hi,
I have an XP client on domain A, accessing an application on a 2K
server on domain B via terminal services. The domain controller for
domain A is temporarily offline. The XP client's printer is shared,
and installed on the 2K server as a local port thus: \\<ip address>
\sharename. When I try to print to it from the 2K server, it fails.
I had this problem with 2K clients, but managed to get around that by
authenticating to the client using 'net use \\<ip address>\IPC$ /
user:<localuser> <password>
This doesn't seem to work for XP clients though.
Could this be an XP firewall issue ? Also, if the client PC is
rebooted, do I need to re-authenticate to the IPC$ share ?
Many thanks !
