I have a WINXP Pro PC with a Xerox Workcentre 555 printer
attached to the LPT1 port, shared out as "Xerox". I
would like my WIN98 PC to connect to it but I keep
getting "You must supply a password to make this
connection". I have tried the admin passwork on the
WinXP PC and the user passwords. I even made both PC's
have the same username and password. Any way around
this ???

Please advise
Anna

Add the Win98 user name and password to the user list on the WinXP
box.

Good Luck...

If it were me, I'd get a cheap print server (you can probably find
one for under 50 bucks nowadays) and take Windows out of the loop.
Life's too short to spend time screwing with stuff like that.
