Printer sharing

I have broadband, the modem is connected to a wireless router. My desktop
computer communicates with the router via a USB Network Adaptor. My laptop
computer communicates with the router via an internet wireless network card.
My Brother laser printer is connected to the desktop computer by parallel
cable.

Is there anyway I can print from the laptop to the printer?

If there is, an idiot's guide would be useful, either here or a link to a
website.

Point the printer to the location ie \\Holly4\epson in my case Holly4 is
the name of the computer the printer is connected to and it is an old Epson
400 Make sure the correct printer driver is loaded on both machines, And
make sure all are 'shared' correctly
I used that address for both wireless and NIC connections, In fact when I
changed from NIC to wireless (ad-hoc) then to wireless (router) the address
didn't change.

If I remember it took a few attempts to get it right, but after that it it
has worked (with the usual hiccups) for a year or so.

go to properties of the printer - select Sharing, share the printer

then on the clients whom you want to connect to the printer, Add
Printer and instead of local printer select Network printer and set
it.

Enable File and Printer Sharing. On the desktop machine right-click on
the printer and select Sharing - share it and give it a name. On the
laptop go to Settings - Printers, click Add Printer and add a network
printer.

Screen shots would be handy for me having lots of bother.
