Hello luc,

Normally they can by default. So what error did you get when trying it?

Best regards

In my ccase, when the user plug the printer, he has a msgbox asking for
admin credentials even if he is local poweruser.

I try via those GPOs but nothing works :

load and unload device drivers in computer config/windows
settings/security settings/local policies/user rights assignment)
computer config :
I select disabled on computer config/windows settings/security
settings/local policies/security option/ devicesrevent/users from
installing printer drivers
I select silently succeeded a la gpo suivante computer config/windows
settings/security settings/local policies/security option/devices: unsigned
driver installation behavior
user config :
I select disabled on prevent addition of printers on config/admin
templates/control panel/printers/policy
idem for prevent deletion of printers

so ???

any ideas ?

thank's

Hello luc,

You talk about AD, so i thought you talk about network printers. What OS
does your workstations use?

See here:
