What are you talking about here? You plug the printer into one of the
machines.
Then you configure the MS O/S on all machines to use MS Networks and MS
File and Print Sharing, which is done at the Network Interface Card's
Property screen.
Then you place each computer into the same Workgroup, which can be
accessed by right-clicking the MY Computer Icon/Properties or for XP that
would be My Computer line entry.
Then you can go to the other machines and install a new printer, but take
the path *I want to install a Network Printer* which sets the plumbing on
the other machines and points to the printer that the machine on the
network is using.
It's called resource sharing between machines on a network. You can also
share Files and Folder and access them from other machines and copy them
between machines too.
The router gives you the ability share resouces between the machines.
What MS O/S are on the machines?
