I would like to use my HP USB Deskjet All-In-One printer as a single home
printer accessed by 2 computers,1 laptop and 1 desktop. My desktop is already
connected to a D-Link DGL4300 G wireless router.
Since my current printer is already connected via USB to my desktop, what do
I need to access the printer, wirelessly with my laptop?
Thanks

You need to connect your printer to one of the slot on the back of the
wireles router. Then you need setup the MS home networking.

I suppose, if you can get your computers to talk to each other and share
files, you can access the printer the same way, although, the PC that has
the printer attached must be on. I have several PC's connected to a router,
both wired and wireless, so I use a Trendnet print server. It attaches the
printer to the router and is "seen" and accessible by all the computers in
the network

ignorance exists to be cured. what's a print server? a router or a hub
with USB or LPT ports? what is one worth, to compare with a jet direct card?

I have one router I am not using that has an LPT port. would that
qualify as a print server?

You can get a print server that connects by USB or Parallel, or both

It sounds like you have a router with a built in print server. I know
Linksys some like that
