Print Notification Message

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help me with this small problem. We are
currently running a print server with NT 4.0 SP6a. All of our office
computers are running XP Pro. Anyway, every time someone prints to a printer
via that Print Server a message pops up on the screen when the job is
complete. Some users like this and some hate it with a passion. So, my
question is, is it possible to disable that "Print Notification Message" that
is being sent by our Print Server every time a job is submitted. Also, is it
possible to disable it on only certain Windows XP Pro machines or do I have to
turn it off on the server, meaning that no one would get the messages? I did
a search on google to try and find an answer to this but couldn't find
anything really helpful.

Thanks,
Bob

This is a Printing issue not a networking issue. There is a place to turn
that off, but I don't remember if it is on the client or on the server. You
need to ask in a relevant group.

You have to go in to the server properties. Start / settings /
printers. Highlight the printer / click file and server properties
/ click on advanced and take the check mark out of notify
when remote documents are printed.
