with the word occasionally , it means that this thing is not a permenant
situationm which means that the PDC is unable to print when something reach
some value that makes the the print orders cannot be printed.

you have to check the priority for the PDC in the printer settings, also
check the queue when you send a print job and couldnt be executed, check that
the print device can handle the print jobs

Hi Zer0byte,

I beg your pardon for the vagueness in the previously reported problem.

The situation is as follows : The Client machines could not print to a
shared printer installed in Win2003 server. It does not happen always. The
time when the problem occurs in the client machine, the printer status will
display as “Unable to connect – Print error in the printer applet in printer
control panel. When we access the printer properties during this time, the
following message will be flashed as, “you do not have access to this
printer, Only the security tab will be displayed. It happens on Win2K,
WinXp and even in Win98 machines. The only solution we have found is to
restart/re-login in such situations.

Please have a solution..
Thanks and Regards

Ok
So check for permissions given to users who use the printer.

Also in the time you cannot access the printer, try to check the
connectivity through ping and path ping
