Preparing network connection at startup -Win2k3

Does any1 knows why does Windows 2003 server
says "Preparing Network Connection" for over a minute,
before it gets to the login screen after installing AD?

The DNS settings seems to be fine. Thats not the case
before AD install.

Assuming this is a lone single Domain Controller, point the machine's DNS
setting to itself at 127.0.0.1. Do not put any ISP's DNS servers in it
anywhere. Within your DNS's configuration add the ISP's DNS to the
Forwarder's List, but *not* in any network settings on the nics.

If there is more than one nic, make sure the main LAN nic is at the top of
the priority list.

Also watch for failed services and related errors in the event logs. You
often won't get fully through bootup until "problem" services have timed out
and stop trying whatever they were trying.
