are there any Pre-N access points out there? All the ones I've seen are
routers with access points. I just need access point only. Or one that I
can disable the router and make it act like a stand alone access point?

can this be used as just an access point? i haven't read anything saying
it can just be used as an access point with no routing stuff configured.

Yes, although the Belkin is WIFI router (but has no ADSL modem), I am pretty
sure you can connect it to another router. I think you would need to disable
the DHCP on the Belkin,
but I haven't done it...
But if you ask, with the relevant question in the header, someone here will
be tell you for sure.
