I'm attempting to follow the instructions at:
http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto-suse-92.phtml
for installing pptp on Suse 9.3. (There is no specific 9.3 section.)
I'm running into the following problem:
When I run pptpconfig as root (step 6.), I get the following error:
Warning: dl(): Unable to load dynamic library
'/usr/lib/php-pcntl/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429/php_gtk.so'
- libglade.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
in /usr/bin/pptpconfig.php on line 31
Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: gdkcolor in
/usr/bin/pptpconfig.php on line 96
I did find a libglade.so.0 file on my system. (I assumed that this is what
the "no such file or dir." referred to.) It's in
/opt/gnome/lib64/libglade.so.0
It's a link to libglade.so.0.4.2, which is a:
ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), stripped
I tried creating a symbolic link named libglade.so.0 (in /usr/lib and
a couple other places) to that file, but this also failed.
Perhaps the problem is that a 32-bit library file is needed(?). (My
machine is an AMD athlon 64.) But a search for libglade.so.0 turned up:
http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/suse/9....7-78.i586.html
, which leads to:
http://www.jamesh.id.au/gnome/
which is an invalid URL (out of date, I assume).
Has anyone encountered this problem?
Any clues or suggestions as to how to fix the problem or find a workaround
would be appreciated. (And hopefully others who run into the same problem
will also benefit.)
Thanks!
