You are getting ICMP "Packet filtered" messages returned from the remote.
Those likely mean that echo replies to ping requests are "administratively
prohibited." I'd suspect that 212.30.161.25 is the ISP connection host
for this connection.

There is a default route through the eth0 interface. It should be through
the PPP interface instead, here ppp0. Pppd won't set a default route
through the PPP interface, even with the defaultroute option, if there
is an existing default route. Reconfigure networking to get rid of the
eth0 default route.
