When I do a ipconfig from my server, it shows me two IP address's. It shows
me a PPP adapter address and a network card IP address. In DNS it shows me
two different IP address's for my server. If I ping my server from a
workstation it sometimes reports the PPP address and sometimes reports my NIC
address. I;m afraid this is causing me networking problems. Help !

Is the server configured as a remote access client or do you have an
incoming connection configured? Either of these will give your server a PPP
address.

Having two IP addresses on a server (especially a DC) certainly causes
problems with name resolution. See KB 289735 and 292822 .

Yes it is configured to accept vpn connections from users. I realize thats
where its getting that second address, but how do you prevent it from giving
it that extra address ?

This kb article describes how to prevent the RRAS ip from registering in
DNS.
