Power Loss Apparently Clears MN-700 Settings Back to Default

I had a power outage and after power was restored my base station was reset
to defaults (password, security, MAC filtering) all cleared.

Is this probably due to the power interuption? I have the base station on a
computer grade Newpoint surge power conditioner.

Or is this likely due to other causes? Could someone hack in spite of WPA
security and do this or is this less likely?

The good news is after I re-established all the settings manually for the
base and each wireless laptop the performance is better and I have far fewer
drop outs.

Any comments or ideas are welcome.
Thanks
Joe

Yes, could very well be, especially if the power didn't just "go" all at
once like pulling the plug. Glad you got it working again.

The router should have kept the settings on power off.
You can save the settings on the router (so you can
restore them after if needed) and try to turn power off
and check if the settings remain unchanged.
