The free postcode lookup is pretty useless for anyone whose IP uses
proxy servers because the 6 free searches are monitored by source IP
address - which is common to all users of the proxy server

At least RM is based on login name, so you can reg multiple accounts if you
really need more than 12 per day, which should be plenty for anyone

Seeing that you are a gimp & a spammer I don't mind hi-jacking your
totally off topic post. I am trying to develop a website offering
delivery of my produce within a 15 mile or so radius of my house. What I
am after is all the postcodes & address's to put on the website, if you
are not on that list then you're too far for me to deliver to. I cannot
find these free & anybody who sells them want mega money, as I am a
start-up company I ain't got that kind of money, does anyone know
another way of getting them? Don't mind if they are in print form & I
have to type them, would obviously prefer not to.

if you want a decent postcode PAF system you will have to pay Royal Mail. Go
for a free or cheap one and you will end up losing customers.

Which part of the country are you in? Some while ago, someone posted a load
of postcode files for the whole country, divided into regions, for the
benefit of people with satellite navigations systems. These could be loaded
onto satnav systems as POI (point of interest) files - and each had a name
equal to its 7-character postcode, and a pair of latitude/longitude
co-ordinates. The idea was that you could use a postcode as a destination,
and the satnav system would direct you there. These files were subsequently
withdrawn over copyright issues after objections were raised by Ordnance
Survey - but there may still be a few in captivity.

Armed with one of these files for your region, and an Excel spreadsheet, you
should be able to compute the (as a crow flies) distance from your premises
to each one, and then select those within the qualifying distance. If this
sounds interesting, post a pukka email address where I can contact you
privately.
