I used the BT broadband checker, and I live 640m away from the
exchange.

How far does one have to live away from the exchange to get 24mpbs?

I do not beleive anyone will connect at the full 24 Mbps, even if they
live *in* the exchange.

You might get 18-20 Mbits/s, not sure anyone knows yet as the impact
of the ANFP3 restrictions are new and unique. At 2km you're looking at
11 Mbits/s.

ADSL Line Capability Calculator
A crude estimate of what your line is capable of is 8192kbps (kilo bits per
second).

Oh goody!

Well, why? I tried this and I'm connected at 24Mb. And I was able to
download
at 24Mb. Miracle?

inadequate data. Not sure the .pl address helps.

What is your line length / attenuation and modem sync speed. You may
be the first recorded 24M customer.
