Is it possible to simply network XP home with W2000 or XP Pro?

Please can someone let me know if this is easily do-able or if I'd be
wasting time below?

I have a home LAN with 2 PCs, both XPhome. Using simple folder sharing to
share files (which is all XPhome provides).

I plan to get a third (cheap) PC, to use as a server, and I can only look at
XPHome
or W2000 SP2
or XP Professional
because my media server program only works with those.

But is it still possible to use simple folder sharing with W2000 or XP Pro?
Or do I have to stick with XPhome because they have some sort of
business-oriented networking instead?
I don't want to be using domains, passwords etc...and time to set up is
limited.

Thanks

Yes to XP Pro, don't know about W2K.
