Hello. I was told that it is possible to connect to a network share
from Windows XP with only TCP/IP installed and no "Client for Microsoft
Networks". I uninstalled the client but now I am unable to connect to
network shares on our NT 4 server or our Windows 2003 server. Can
anyone tell me if there is something I need to change on the server
side or was the information I was given incorrect? That is, do I need
to keep the "client for microsoft networks" installed on the XP
computer? Also, if you could point me to documentation I would
appreciate it.

Thanks.
Mark
