Hello!

I know I need to open port 443 to gain access to the
http://www.domainname.com/remote

Website. Is that a TCP port, UDP? What are the specs on opening that port
on our firewall?

Also, what are the details for port 3389 for terminal services? What do I
need to tell the Cisco Firewall Technician? Is it TCP or IP or UDP or what?

If you do a port scan on our server, it only shows 4 ports as being open.
It is true that we need to have Port 443 open from the outside for our
remote access to work correctly, right?

Dale

Your Cisco guy will know that 443, 3389 and 4125 are all TCP. You just need
to ask him to forward these ports to the Small Bus Server.

What ports are showing on the Cisco scan ? (22, 443 and ?) If Cisco is
supporting https remote administration on 443, he will have to disable that
so 443 can be forwarded to your server. Unless you have multiple IP
addresses to use.

Why do I need port 4125? What is that port needed for?

We have a Class C License. No problem with extra IP's that might be needed.

4125 is needed if you want to access your SBS by RWW.

Sorry Steve - I didn't see that you had already answered that question.

That's OK :-) However, RWW doesn't need 3389 open-that's only if you want a
direct RDP connection to the SBS.

no RWW uses 443 and 4125

3389 is only used Internal (LAN) for RWW

3389 On the firewall open is only used for RDC to the SBS Server Directly.
