Been trying to access a Lantronix CoBox Mini attached to
my MN500 Router which is connected to Verizon DSL
Service/Modem from the outside world with no success. The
LanTronix is a mini web server device which I can access
from my internal network using its internal IP no
problem. Can't get thru from outside even with firewall
disabled. I know the apparent external IP that gets
assigned buy my ISP..it uses PPOE. I can ping my external
IP from Internal network ok, but it never gets to
Lantronix as far as I can tell. MN500 log
shows "connection attempt from WAN Blocked" message. Is
this not possible to accomplish thru my DSL
Modem/Service..or is there something else I must do?..HELP!

Did you setup a port forward of port 80 (tcp) to the internal ip of the
lantronix cobox mini?

If yes, Verizon could be blocking port 80...
if no, then you'll need to setup the port forward.

If verizon is blocking port 80, you'll need to use a port redirection. e.g.
forward an external port 81 (tcp) request to port 80 (tcp) of the internal
ip of the lantronix device. Then you'd add a :81 to the URL when you try to
access it (i.e. http://<your wan ip>:81

Need most recent version of firmware 1.11.017 for
loopback support. Then try using the public "external" IP.

You should also set a port forwarding (either app
triggered or persistent for port 80 -- either works
fine). I have Verizon, and they don't block port 80 here.
