I had the same problem (Verizon DSL). I dumped them and signed up with
another company, Covad (
www.covad.net). By law Verizon has to open up there
lines to other DSL providers. I have a faster connection 1.5 megs down 384k
up, 5 static IPs and "NO INTERFERENCE" for 75.00 a month.
