Im using this router to restrict WWW access based on time windows for my
kids on the home network using their PC MAC or IP address.

Now I set up port forwarding for my son and that PC, at least for the
application using the port forwarding is no longer restricted and runs 24/7.

Is there a way to restrict www access for a PC that is using port
forwarding?

thanks for any tips!

This is all down to the router and the capabilities of
the firmware. Unfortunately which, you failed to identify.

My bad...I noticed. its a Linksys BEFSX41. It has restriction capabilities
to set by time and PC using IP or MAC, but It doest work when the PC is
using port forwarding. Is there a way to include Port forwarding in a time
window restriction?

Hello,

This does seem like a big in the firmware.
Are you running the latest Linksys FW?
http://www.linksysinfo.org/forums/sh...hlight=BEFSX41

If no help, join the forum at
http://www.linksysinfo.org/index.php
and talk to the Linksys experts - perhaps there's a third party
FW if the official one doesn't do what you want it to do.

Good luck,
Dave
