A user thought it would be a good idea to install a Cisco and AT&T vpn
adapter on his machine. After uninstalling these adapters internet explorer
cannot connect to any websites on port 80.
I have tried:
- uninstall adapters
- restart machine
- checking network adapter properties (no trace of Cisco or AT&T)
- IP settings are correct
- tracert to http://<sites> show gateway IP then timeouts
- FTP sites works via IE
- SMTP works
- POP3 works
- HTTPS sites work via IE
- I can "telnet <IP> port" to any hosting service apart from port 80
- I ran IE connection wizard again (ftp and https ok)
- Only port 80 is getting blocked
- Windows XP firewall off
- I tried REPAIR on adapter to clear cache
- IE set to pickup new page at each visit
Can anyone help ?
All other machines on network fine as was this client before VPN software
install.
All other port / protocols fine
Port 80 blocked via all apps/services (i.e internet explorer, telent etc..).
Thanks for your time
Scott
