hi,, how to close down or to block Port 135 "dce endpoint
resolution" from windows 98? and its used for what ??

It is the port used by Microsoft remote procedure calls. The blaster
worm is currently causing a lot of scans over the Internet.

If your firewall is reporting scans on "dce endpoint resolution" every
few minutes then switch off the reporting. It is just doing it's job.
Just because you are being scanned on 135 doesn't mean you have any
service running on 135. This worm won't affect win98 so you needn't
worry.
