PoPToP and ip_nat_pptp

Does anybody know if the problem of not being able to run a PPTP server on a
machine running the netfilter pptp nat helper (ip_nat_pptp) has been solved?

There are messages on the netfilter mailing list from September 2003 about
it where the ip_nat_pptp author says he's about to fix it:
