Has anyone else noticed really crap speed performance downloading
Yahoo mail recently from "pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk "? Some sessions
time-out altogether.

Any known work-arounds?

TIA

Have you checked that your pop settings are the latest ones being used by
Yahoo? I recently found that they had changed and although the old settings
still worked, it was a bit hit and miss. Since changing to the latest
settings, no problems.

Server Settings Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
Use SSL, port: 995

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication

Having said the above, Yahoo does seem to be experiencing a bit of flakiness
just now so it may just be that.

Tim
