Dear all,

Under Redhat 8.0, the POP server was intalled years ago. Recently, I find
that I can receive other email from local acount, but not from other domain.
Why? Note that the pop3 server is ready when I check by using telnet
xxx.xx.xxx.xxx 110.
Welcome for any of your help.

Regards,
Simon

POP (Post Office Protocol) is only a protocol for retrieving local mail.
Receiving mail from other machines/domains requires a properly-configured
MTA (Mail Transport Agent) which generally employs SMTP (Simple Mail
Transport Protocol).

Many common MTAs are freely available, such as sendmail, Exim and Postfix.

Dear all,

I mean that other emails cannot be reached my server, and the senders do not
receive any undelivered message.
What wrong on my email server? Please help me, thanks

Regards,
Simon
