POOR customer service from Tiscali

Hi, I recently ordered broadband from Tiscali... they seemed to be teh
cheapest around using your BT line with no download limits. So
everything went well up to the point of installing my new modem and
Tiscali software... It didn't work. So I phoned there technical support
line (be prepared for hrs of repeating yourself and having them repeat
themselves!!), anyway eventually after 72hrs of testing on my line they
agreed an engineer visit from BT would be required, great anothe 3
working days delay for this.... the BT engineer didn't even come to my
door, he phoned me from the exchange box at the end of my street to
explain that the Cabling from the box would not support the broadband
service. So I called Tiscali back with the update and that obviously I
wished my contract to be cancelled, however they can't do this without
their Senior Technical Engineer confirming this... What??? They are
calling the BT engineer a lier?? I asked as much and the guy said well
they are the competition.... unbelievable. So as this was teh tech
support line I had went trhough I thought I'll phone the sales line as
generally they are easier to understand!! However the women in sales,
refused to believe I couldn't get braodband through my BT line,
explaining they would have done tests before sending me my modem....
god it was like drawing teeth trying to explain that an ENGINEER had
said it was impossible without new cabling in my street!! Anyway it
ended with me asking to speak to a supervisor, which resulted in me
being cut-off!!! Nice. So basically I now have to wait 3 days for their
Technical engineer to confirm I can't get broadband before I can leave
at no cost. After this experience I am extremely grateful for the poor
cabling in my street, that has saved me a year of pain being a Tiscali
customer!! (I now look forward to ordering my broadband from Telewest
who have an excellent offer on at the moment!)
So in summary, if you go with Tiscali and ever have any problems they
be prepared to bang your head repeatly off brick walls and watch your
viens pop out your head in anger at their poor service.

Er, in summary, don't just go with the cheapest you can find, it ends
in tears.

Having said that I've got to add that some of the more expensive ones
can be just as bad, naming no names...

If you had Googled on this, in this ng, then you could have saved yourself
some trouble.

on the English language, spelling etc etc, errr no so get a life and go
