OK it goes like this.
You are allowed to download 100Gb total a month IN TOTAL before they start
shouting. However of that 100, you are only allowed 30Gb of peak time
useage. Basically...If you exceed 30Gb peak time *OR* 100Gb total you will
be told off. The peak time for this is 4pm - midnight.
COMPLETELY SEPERATLY.....
You are allowed to download 20Gb using p2p, ftp or usenet peak time before
they start throttling you. The peak time for THIS ONLY is 8am-midnight.
After 20Gb you get throttled a bit, after 25 a bit more, 30 a bit more until
finally you are throttled down to 64k (wooo basically dial up speeds!) -
However this throttle should ONLY affect p2p/ftp/undernet transfers, http
should be as fast as usual. The peak time is apparently being moved to
match the other peak time of 4-12 sometime in feburary.
Yes, its confusing, yes its bloody stupid and yes there is no way at present
to see exactly how much p2p/usenet/ftp useage you have used.
