Plusnet to offer some customers refunds for poor service performance

Plusnet has sent out an email to customers on its Broadband Plus product
advising them about a readjustment to the amount of network capacity
Broadband Plus customers get at peak times, which for some has resulted in
slower than acceptable speeds recently. They are offering a limited refund
of February's subscription charge for customers who meet certain criteria,
which includes providing screen-shots or links to speed tests carried out
when the service was performing slowly.

My brother uses Plusnet and his speed has dropped to 128Kb/s recently.

He asked for a MAC and got offered a free month and a free speed upgrade
to 2 Meg. The upgrade made me laugh.

Here's hoping that the speed picks up or it's off to Zen.

The speed upgrade is irrelevant without any capacity increase. You could have a
physical 100Mbps ethernet connection straight to Plusnet and it still wouldn't
help.

Idnet are being very honest about some recent failings. Their new 'central pipe'
is already speeding things up even though there's more kit yet to be configured
and brought online..

Having said that, their performance never fell as far as Plusnet's did (God
forbid). I just got used to having a blisteringly fast response and was upset
about it being slower.

I moved from plusnet, many stalled connections, customer service used
to be good, but its rubbish now, and the final straw was they got
bought by BT retail...
Bye for now.

It would appear that the have now excluded those that migrated elsewhere
after raising a refund ticket.

The way they have handled it means they probably refunded at most 300 people
out of all the BB+ customers because not everyone was told and the only
people that knew anything about it were people like me that visit the
forum/usenet or those that look at the service status.

Very poor and a con.

That's my luck out then !

As a consequence of course they simply continue to get a 'bad press' from me. It
seems vaguely counter-productive to my way of thinking.

Indeed, Plusnet scamming again, throwing out spin to look good, but as
always .... falling flat on thier faces.

The mere fact these cheats were caught with their pants down and HAD to make
this offer speaks volumes about Pussnet.

Plusnet .... Fucking Scumbags, the lot of them.
