PlusNet / Nominet renewal delays

Anyone heard about this? They are supposed to renew domains 'automatically'
but my .co.uk domain was not renewed (and 7 days later still isn't).

When I queried this, I was told that it is because Nominet is working a
month in arrears, so - despite both Nominet and Plus WHOIS telling me that
the Domain needs to be renewed - there is nothing to worry about.

Any ideas if this is true, and if so, why?

Hi,

It's not unusual for a domain name renewal to take a while and it will often
not be done on the exact date of renewal. If you want to let me know the
ticket number on your account I'll be happy to double-check that the renewal
is going through.
