The PlusNet newsgroups problem is getting worse now.

More posts for a longer duration do not exist on the server.

Look pal, plusnet are shite; they remind me of another ISP that ended up
with fewer and fewer customers do to their reputation about 2 years ago
regarding dial-up; plusnet jumped on the same boat.

Find another ISP, if you're outwith contract it'll be the best change you've
ever made.

While I disagree with your view (they serve my needs for now), I had been
considering posting something on the lines of there being little need for
posting such items in this newsgroup as (a) it isn't a broadband problem,
and (b) customers of the many other ISPs won't give a damn anyway. Peter

Hi AMO,

This is an issue that we are still working on. The latest update I put
out on Tuesday, talks of work being made today and tomorrow. We will
then need the servers to catch up with articles which will take a few
days. I have another update to make next week, which should hopefully
be positive.

Kind regards

Luke

Don't let it worry you - Plusnet are my ISP, but I use
News.Individual.NET for NG access - Other than the odd problem,
Plusnet have proved OK service-wise, but their NG access has been
crap, so do what I did, change to another NG provider.

Thanx for the response Luke.

I was slightly concerned as this issue has occurred many times in the past
and as the majority of users these days don't use Usenet - more chat rooms,
then some consider it low priority.

I look forward to the issue being fixed. ;0)

Thanx Peter.

I have heard many people talk about individual.net. How do they fund this
service if it is given free to everyone? What are the limitations?

Thanx.

AMO

NIN is a University based server so it is funded by that institution.
It's explained here http://news.individual.net/faq.html#6.1
