Plusnet - LLU ?

Afternoon all

I have a ADSL connection with Plusnet (£21.99pm)

I recall that I opted out of Plusnet's migration offer to a LLU line
many moons ago (>12 months).

Checking my details on Sam Knows here
http://www.samknows.com/broadband/checker2.php

Suggests "However, your line is currently unbundled by an LLU operator
such as Be, Bulldog or Easynet (SMPF LLU). Moving to another provider
may require a cease and re-provide, which may result in loss of service
for up to two weeks"

News to me - and I will be as mad as hell if it is!

Any ideas now I can check via my Plusnet user area?

Other service providers shown for my area are BT Wholesale ADSL
BT Wholesale ADSL Max
Be LLU
Sky Broadband / Easynet LLU
Orange LLU (Formerly Wanadoo)
Telewest Cable

Regards

Alan

That's totally irrelevant. LLU in this context refers to how PlusNet
delivers the ADSL service *not* to who is responsible for the copper cable
which connects the OP's premises to his exchange.

The following information from PN's Help pages is more relevant:

"Customers can find out if they are provisioned on our LLU platform by
checking the gateway they are connected to. LLU customers connect to our
network via the gateway known as thn-ag2"

http://usertools.plus.net/@gateway

My line gives the same information, however I live in a pretty remote
area and there's no LLU going on at my exchange.

Presumably - if thn-ag2 is the only LLU gateway.

What is your upstream synch speed? If it's faster than 448 kbps it would
have to be LLU. If it's 448 or less, it's probably MaxDSL (on the BT
network).

Yes, when I was on PN LLU my upstream sync was 480k IIRC.

Upstream on our LLU product can be as high as 800kbps dependent on DSLAM
profile/line conditions.

Kind Rgds,
